Job Description:

IT Architect
Help develop and maintain high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical IT architecture.
The IT Architect will gain organizational commitment for all high-level infrastructure plans and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans.

Responsibilities:
Maintain in-depth knowledge of company's strategic business plans.
Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, and other Systems Architects.
Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company's existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio.
Develop and manage an infrastructure capacity plan.
Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a technology standards policy.
Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility.
Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate IT analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
Review IT projects, systems designs, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans.

Knowledge and Experience:
Experience designing and implementing high availability architectures, with extensive knowledge of replication and scaling.
Experience with MySQL Cluster, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
Proven experience in systems design and development.
Knowledge of applicable date privacy practices and HIPAA.
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Healthcare experience.
