Top Four qualifications of focus are: • Integration experience working with HR enterprise system • Management experience: managing vendors and a team of resources • SOLID communication skills • Independent learner Job Title: Tech Lead – ERP conversion project Generally Reports to: Project Manager of Financial System and Project Manager of HR/Payroll System Job Description This contractor Tech Lead position will be involved in the Dynamics Great Plains G/L and procurement and Ultimate Software HR/Payroll implementations, and conversion from legacy PeopleSoft GL, HR and ADP Payroll systems. This position will be responsible for coordinating all technical aspects of the implementations, including infrastructure design, network security and connectivity, interface protocols and conversion strategies. The Tech Lead will also work with our consulting partner to develop the approach for ongoing system support by the Network, including the creation of a “Run Book” for the new platform. This role will coordinate development efforts between the parent company, the new stand alone company; the software implementation partners and the hosting partners. This will require the coordination of diverse technical resources across multiple platforms and organizations. The Tech Lead is expected to work well with general direction and complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight from the program/project leadership team. The selected individual will have strong hands-on knowledge of technology, including ETL tools, programming languages, data interchange and interface protocols. Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, database administration, network architecture and security protocols are a plus. The Tech Lead must have strong communication skills and be adept at coordinating multiple activities and resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide overall support and direction on the approaches to interfaces, conversions and system maintenance. 2. Support the design and deployment of the new technological infrastructure. 3. Responsible for the quality and work efforts of consultants and incremental developers brought onto the project. Developers will be sourced from a combination of permanent employees and contractors 4. Work with the organization’s ISO resource to ensure sound security practices 5. Work collaboratively with team members throughout the organization to obtain information needed to produce deliverables. Coordinate interface and conversion activities amongst the Parent, Brokers Network IT, software vendors and consulting partners. 6. Develop standards for development and documentation of all technical objects. 7. Develop and implement the plan for ongoing system support for the new Financial and HR/Payroll applications. Skills and Other Requirements 1. At least 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in IT on multiple platforms, operating systems, and software 2. Experience with systems used in the Financial Services or Banking industry a plus. 3. Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field 4. Hands-on knowledge of, ETL tools, interface development, conversion development and associated protocols. Experience with Great Plains software or other ERP integration management is preferred. 5. Knowledge of general IT tools, processes, hardware, software, operating systems, databases, networking and security. Specific experience with any of the following technologies is highly desired: Juniper Firewall, Geminare Control Center, Windows 2008 Datacenter, Windows Terminal Server, SQL 2008, Scribe and Microsoft Dynamics GP. 6. Experience with PeopleSoft software a plus 7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, and other business/financial applications 8. Ability to work in a demanding, very deadline-driven environment 9. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills 10. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with technical, non-technical and executive personnel orally and in writing 11. Highly self-motivated and directed, able to work with minimal supervision 12. Strong customer service orientation Contract duration: Initial contract is 4+ months.
