Job Description:
SUMMARY This position is accountable for leading the company metrics team responsible for creating, reporting and analyzing operational business performance metrics. This includes information delivery via dashboards, analytical tools, canned and ad-hoc reporting and other applications to all levels of users within operations. This incumbent will oversee and optimize relevant operations resources through the implementation of information delivery best-practices and will be accountable for the team’s analytical thought leadership. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direction and day to day management of the company’s operations metrics team. Drives team results by creating and sustaining a dynamic workplace, maximizing individual and organizational performance and attracting top talent. Contributes to the achievement of operational objectives through the development and delivery of timely and relevant information to a variety of ops teams. Collaborates closely with various operations areas to understand business challenges, leads associated analytic efforts, and identifies opportunities for transforming those findings into actionable items. Ensures all ongoing reporting is produced and distributed according to established deadlines. Leads the effective prioritization of new requests and project work ensuring tactical and strategic initiatives are delivered on time. Analyzes existing business measures and metrics and recommends improvements to the tracking and evaluation of business performance and to the identification/analysis of business challenges and opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS Creative thinker with excellent analytical capabilities and a demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues. This includes the identification of the information required to make decisions. Strong communication skills at the senior management level with the ability to influence others outside area of responsibility. Able to clearly, concisely and convincingly present analyses and recommendations. Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize short-term and long-term deliverables. Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously and leading work queue prioritization. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization. Ability to design and interpret metrics and leading indicators of performance. BS or BA degree required or equivalent work experience. 7+ years of experience working with operations, management information and systems. Knowledge of MS Office Suite of Products with in-depth working experience with Excel. Access and Cognos experience is a strong plus
