Job Description:

SQL Server expert needed immediately for a 3 month assignment -- with possible extension!!
Location: Hartford, Major investment/asset management firm

Must have experience working with investment systems and asset management/trading/risk platforms.

Seeking a SQL Server expert to assist with platform architecture, replication design/implementation, performance tuning, and production migrations. The individual will be updating databases and stored procedures as required for the new platform.

You will be part of a team working on a project to migrate production SQL Server and application platforms to our hosting provider.

Qualifications
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server 2005 experience 
    - High availability systems including replication, partitioning, multiple data and log file management
    - Performance tuning at server, database and application level
    - Platform and database design
    - SQL Server platform management and monitoring including Microsoft Systems Center Ops Manager
- Experience with SQL Server on global applications
- Experience converting from SQL Server 2005 to 2008
- Experience diagramming IT platforms with Microsoft Visio
- Appropriate technical certifications desirable.
- Asset management and investment system business knowledge desirable.
